I Darius P Roberts of the Town of Morton, County of Tazewell
and State of Illinois, being of sound mind, memory and un-
derstanding do make this my last will and testament.
My will is first that my funeral charges and just debts be
paid by my Executors hereinafter named.
The residue of my estate and property which shall not be
required for the payment of my just debts, funeral charges,
and expenses attending the execution of this my will, and
administration of my estate, I give and devise as follows,
to wit:

I give and devise to my beloved wife Augusta Roberts all my
household furniture of whatever kind, also whatever ready money may
be in my possession, also possession of my dwelling house and
appurtenances, including the garden patch or lot, and the use of
so much of the barn as may be necessary for the accomodation
of her stock and its feed or provender, also the rentage or income
of the west half (W 1/2) of the Northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of section (18) in range three
(3) West Town (25) North in the county of Tazewell and state of Illinois; (my
son Erastus Roberts to have the preference in tenancy). Also one horse, four cows
and two sheep to be chosen by herself, or the value of the same, and to re-
tain possession of such stock or other property as may be hers personally
previous to my decease;

To my son Erastus Roberts his heris, administrators,
or Executors I give so much of the before described parcel of land, as is
now occupied by him for his dwelling place, with the dwelling house, orchard
and all appurtenances thereon, to have and to hold, for himself, his heirs, ad-
ministrators, or executors, for ever.

Further that upon the decease of my wife Augusta
Roberts, my son Erastus Roberts shall become possessed of the whole of the be-
fore described parcel of land, together with a piece or parcel known and de-
scribed as the East half of the West half of the SE quarter of Sec 7 Range 3 Town
25. County and state as aforesaid to have and to hold his heirs and assigns for
ever, subject in both parcels of land to such legacies as may be hereafter made,
and which shall constitute a lein or mortgage thereon.

I also give to my son
Erastus all the farming tools, implements or machinery possessed by me at my
decease. The balance of my personal property (or the proceeds thereof) to be equally
divided between my wife Augusta and my daughters Eliza M and Fanny
P Roberts, or their heirs. Also the tract or parcel of land known as the North half
of the East half of the SE quarter of Sec 7 Range 3 West Town 25 N to be divided
(or the proceeds thereof) equally between my wife and daughters aforenamed, or their heirs,
provided furhter that upon the above named Erastus Roberts, or his heirs, coming into
posession of the before named tracts of land, he shall pay unto Eliza M Roberts
and Fanny P Roberts, or their heirs the following sums of good and lawful
money to wit:

To Eliza M Roberts the sum of one thousand and sixty six dollars,
and to Fanny P Roberts the sum of one thousand three hundred and thirty
dollars; with interest in both cases @ 6% per annum, payment to be made at the
rate of one hundred and thirty three dollars and 25/100 and accruing interest
annually to Eliza M Roberts or her heirs, and one hundred and sixty six dollars
62 1/2/100 and accruing interest to Fanny P Roberts or her heirs annually, said
payments to commence at the expiration of one year from the decease of my
wife Augusta Roberts (interest to be computed from the date of said decease) the
whole to be paid within the period of eight years.

And I do nominate and appoint
as my Executors and Administrators to this my will, my son Erastus
Roberts and my daughter Eliza M Roberts.

In testimony whereof I the said Darius P Roberts have subscribed my name
this sixth day of December 1868.
