DeSoto marriage records show that Sallie Hinds married 1885-05-05 William Laguille.
This was the only Sallie Hinds in DeSoto Co at the time, so that must be her.
There isn't anyone named Laguille or Laquille on the 1880 or 1900 census. There are several people named Guille or Quille, but no William in MS. RootsWeb doesn't have any matches either.
I'm guessing the transcription is in error, and his name was something else.
Familysearch.org's index shows him as William S Lagrill.
He is in Shelby Co TN for the 1880 census, age 15, s/o Louise 51 NY.
A tree at Ancestry says William is s/o Louis LaGrille + Adelia A Drummond.
It cites a 1900 census entry that shows William with wife Susie M age 37, who probably isn't this Sallie. They have been married only one year, and there are 3 White children in the household.
I think Sallie must have died young, and William re-married a Susie.
