Decatur Co IN Will Book 2 p158

I William Riggsby of the county of Decatur in the state of
Indiana do make and publish this my last will and
testament...

...I direct
first that all my just debts and funeral expences be paid
as soon after my decease as possible out of the first
moneys that shall come to the hands of my executor from
any portion of my estate, real or personal.

I also give
and bequeath to my two daughter Lydia Ann Jenkins and
Mary Ann Kerr, five dollars each. And I also give and
bequeath to the heirs of my daughter Malinda Kerr deceased,
to-wit my grand daughter Martha M Kerr, four hundred
dollars.

And as to such goods, chattels, moneys and
effects, real and personal, that I may be in possession of
at my decease I direct the same to be sold for its cash
value, and the proceeds thereof to be equally divided
with my several grand children to wit: William A Kerr,
Matthew M Kerr, Josephine Kerr, Anna M Kerr, and
James Kerr, each to share and share alike.

And I hereby
make and ordain my worthy and esteemed friend
Joel Colson executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I William Riggsby the testator
have hereunto set my hand and seal this second
day of April 1866.
