I, James Rigsby, of the village of Willette in the 7th Civil District,
County of Macon, and State of Tennessee...
Item 1 I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of
my estate as soon as practicable after the time of my decease.
Item 2 All my personal property, wheresoever situate, which I may own or have
the right to dispose of at the time of my decease, I give, devise, and bequeath
to my wife, Willie Myrtil Rigsby, absolutely and in fee simple. All my real
estate is to be used and controlled by her during her natural life, unless
she should marry again, and if she should marry again then, her right to said
property ceases immediately and all my property shall be sold and divided equally
between my following children: Susie Rigsby, Clyde Rigsby, Kate Rigsby, Ruby
Rigsby, James Rigsby, Lorell Rigsby, Charles Rigsby, Prentice Rigsby, Dowel Rigsby,
but if she doesn't re-marry, she is to have use and control of all my property until
her death, then, at her death the said property shall be sold and first pay her
funeral and medical expenses and then the remainder shall be divided equally
between the above named children.
Item 3 I make, nominate, and appoint my wife, Willie Myrtil Rigsby to be the
executrix of this, my last will and testament, hereby authorizing and empowering
my said executrix to compound, compromise, settle and adjust all demands and
claims in favor or against my estate. I request that no bond be required of my
said executrix.
In witness whereof, I, James Rigsby, have hereunto subscribed my name
and affixed my seal to this, my last will and testament, this 8 day of May
1950.
