I am not positive that Samuel was his son.
I am not positive that Mary was his daughter, but she pretty much has to be. John's was the only Rigsby family in AR from 1850 to 1870.

Know ye that by virtue of entry No 821 made in the office
of the entry taker of Warren County and dated the 31st of De-
cember 1824. There is granted by the state of Tennessee unto
John Rigsby a certain tract or parcel of land containing
six acres by survey bearing date the 25th of May 1825 lying
in said county on the waters of the Rockhouse fork of the
East fork of Stones River in the head what is known as the
James Evans hollow -- Beginning on a small sugar tree
stump on said Rigsby's south boundary of two acres running
thence south 12 poles to a dogwood and sugar tree on a
steep rocky hillside thence east with the same and with
the north boundary of twenty acres belonging to U & Wm
Stone fifty eight poles to a sugar tree on said line on the
west side of a large ridge, thence north with the same
thirty five poles to a sugar tree on the side of said ridge
thence west twelve poles to a stake on the east boundary
of said Rigsby ten acres, thence south with the line of
the same twenty three poles to the southeast corner
thence west with the south boundary forty six poles to the be-
ginning. Including said Rigsby's still house

with the hereditaments and appurtenances, to have and to hold
said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said
John Rigsby and his heirs forever.
In witness thereof, Samuel Houston, Governor of the State of Tennessee,
has hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the state to be affixed at Nashville,
on the 12th day of March 1828.

Know ye that for and in consideration of the sum of one
cent per acre paid into the office of
the entry taker of Warren County and entered the 3 of January 1826.
There is granted by the state of Tennessee unto
John Rigsby assignee of David Carder
a certain tract or parcel of land containing
fifty acres by survey bearing date the 10 day of February 1827 lying
in said county on the waters of the Rockhouse fork
of Stone's River in Evans Hollow -- Begin-
ning at a white ash corner of a ten acre
tract. Running thence north 84 poles to a
sugar tree on the south boundary line of
100 acre tract in the name of Charles C Evans,
thence east with said line forty poles to a white
walnut Evans southeast corner, thence north with
the east boundary of said tract 40 poles to a
dogwood on the south side of a large mountain,
thence east with the mountain twenty eight
poles to a stake, thence south with the west boun-
dary line of Ansel Chilton's survey 128 poles to a
stake on the north boundary line of a 400 acre
tract in the name of Cummings and Stone,
thence west with said line 39 poles to the
northwest corner of said tract, thence south
52 poles to a dogwood and ash on the west
boundary line of said 400 acre tract, thence
west with the line of a 30 acre tract in the
name of William Stone 17 poles to a sugar
tree the south east corner of John Rigsby's 6 acre
tract, thence north with the line of said tract 52
poles, to the north east corner, thence west 12 poles
to a stake at the east boundary line of a 10 acre
tract belonging to John Rigsby, thence north four
poles to the beginning

with the hereditaments and appurtenances, to have and to hold
said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said
John Rigsby and his heirs forever.
In witness thereof, Newton Cannon, Governor of the State of Tennessee,
has hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the state to be affixed at Nashville,
on the 22 day of October 1835.
