I, R R Riggsbee, a resident of Paragould, Arkansas, being of sound and disposing
mind and memory, do hereby make and publish this Instrument as and for my last Will and te-
stament...
First: I will, give, Devise, and Bequeath unto my daughter, Pauline Beedles, the following
Lot, or parcel of land, located in the city of Paragould, Arkansas, to-wit:
Fifty (50) feet off the west side
of lot three (3) in block three (3)
of the south side addition to the
city of Paragould
Second: Unto my daughter, Roberta Riggsbee Newberry, I Will, Give, Devise, and Bequeath
the Lot, or parcel of land, located in the city of Paragould, Greene County Arkansas, to-wit:
The west half (W 1/2) of lot eight (8)
in block three (3) of the south side
addition to the city of Paragould
Third: Unto my two daughters, Anna-lou Riggsbee Brannon and Lura Riggsbee Briggs, I Will,
Give, and Bequeath Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars each.
Fourth: My daughter, Pauline Beedles, and her husband, Robert Beedles, at this time is
indebted to me in the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty ($450.00) Dollars, being the balance
due me on the property hereinbefore willed to my said daughter, Pauline Riggsbee Beedles,
and if at my death, the said indebtedness is not paid in full, then my said daughter, Pau-
line, shall pay the remaining amount of said indebtedness to my estate; and also my daughter,
Roberta Newberry, in indebted to me for a balance due on the property hereinbefore willed to
her, and at my death if she has not paid that indebtedness, then she shall be required to pay
any unpaid part thereof to my estate; and it is my will, and I hereby direct, that when each
of my children shall have received what is herein provided for them, and each of my daughter
s shall have paid the indebtedness due and owing to me (or to my estate) that any remaining
property or money shall be divided among each of my said children herein mentioned, they to
share and share equally; provided that all just debts, together with the expenses of my last
sickness and duneral [sic] expenses be paid from and out of my estate
Fifth: The property herein willed by me to my daughters, Roberta Newberry and Pauline Bee-
dles, shall be the individual property of each of them, provided that they may not sell or
mortgage said peoperty [sic] and shall have only a life estate therein, and that at the death of
both, or either of them, the property herein willed to them, and each of them, shall become
the property of the child, or children, of them or each of them; and in the event that
either Pauline or Roberta should die leaving no children, then the property herein willed
to them, or either of them, shall descend to and become the property of their surviving
sisters or the children of either surviving sister.
Signed, published, and declared by me to be my Last Will and Testament in the prese-
nce of the witnesses signing hereto, each of whom have signed, as witnesses, at my request
and in my presence and in the presence of each other, on this the 3rd day of February 1938.
