Will of Gerrard Hopkins
To wife Thomasin my plantation, houses, edifices, buildings,
orchard, gardens, woods, underwoods, lands during her life.
To son Gerrard Hopkins at age 20, and if he dies, to be divided among my daughters
Ann (Hopkins), Thomasin (Hopkins) and Mary (Hopkins).
To son Gerrard Hopkins such woodland near William Cole as he can tend, with tobacco and
corn but not taking any other to work with him, after the age of 20.
To son Gerrard Hopkins a bay mare branded GS, my second best
feather bed, 4 cows, 3 pewter dishes, leather chair, wood chair, chest, and
the rest of my estate of hogs, chattle, catle, bulls, cows, steers, horses,
mares, bedding, plate, pewter, tobacco, utensils, servants and all my other
substance in England and America.
The rest to wife Thomasin, who is my executrix.
