Richard landed on Mobjack Bay, VA ca 1637 on a ship Captained by Thomas Todd. (VA Patent Book 1 p577)
Richard Wooten did not get his own land until 30 August 1647 in Shotball Quarter which was to
become part of York Co. VA. (VA Patent Book II p114)
Richard Wooten died before 1696. On 1696-10-19, Samuel Chappell was granted 218 acres adjoining
lands of the heirs of Richard Wooten in Shotball Quarter. (Cavaliers & Pioneers of VA, Vol III, pg 8)
