Severall parcells of land in Hertford upon the river of Canecticott belonginge to Edward Stebbin & to his heires forever.
viz: One parcell on wch his dwellinge house now standeth with other outhouses, yards, & gardens therein beinge containinge by estimacon two acres (more or lesse) abuttinge upon the high way leadinge from the little river unto the north meadow on the east & upon the high way leadinge to the meeting house on the south & the meetinge house land on the west & Timothy Standlyes land on the north.
One parcell lyinge in the little meadow containinge by estimacon one rood twenty nine parches (more or lesse) abutting upon the high way leadinge from the little river unto the north meadow on the west & the river fallinge out of the north meadow on the east & John Pratts land on the north & Robert Dayes land on the south.
One parcell lyinge in the north meadow of meadow & swampe containinge by estimacon one acre three roods eighteene parches (more or lesse) viz: one acree one rood & eight parches of meadow & two roods & tenn parches of swampe abuttinge upon the great river on the east & upon the little river on the south & west & Mr Chaplains land on the north.
One parcell more lyinge in the north mead of meadow & swampe containinge by estimation nine acres three roods twenty one parches (more or lesse) viz: six acres three roods & seaven parches of meadow & three acres & fourteene parches of swampe abuttinge upon the great river on the east & on the necke of land on the west & on Rob Dayes land on the south & on Willm Ruscoes land on the north.
One parcell lyinge in the middle oxpasture which he hath exchanged with Willm Spenser for land lyinge in the necke & in the cow pasture & abutteth as appeareth in Willm Spensers copy.
One parcell lyinge on the east side of the great river containinge by estimacon one acre two roods & twelve parches (more or lesse) abuttinge upon the great river on the west & the upland on the east & Rob Dayes land on the south & Nath Richards land on the north.
One parcell lyinge in the pine feild containinge by estimcon three acres (more or lesse) which he exhanged also wth Willm Spenser for land lyinge in the the necke & abutteth as appeareth in the said Willm Spensers coppyes.
One parcell in the cow pasture containinge by estimacon sixteene acres & thirty parches (more or less) nine acres of which he received of Willm Spenser in pt for land that did belonge to the said Edward Stebbin & now belongeth to the said Willm Spenser in the little oxpasture & in the pine feild which cow pasture abutteth on the west feild & uppon Thom Standlyes & Richard Goodmans land & the pine feild on the south & the little oxepasture on the west & the necke of land on the east & the land now common on the north.
One parcell lyinge in the necke of land containeinge by estimacon one acre nine parches (more or lesse) (pt whereof he received of Willm Spenser for land exchanged to him in the pine feild) abuttinge upon the cow pasture on the west & on the swampe belonginge to the north meadow on the east & on Timothy Standlys land on the south & on Rob Dayes land on the north.
One parcell more lyinge in the necke of land containeinge by estimacon six acres two roods & eighteene parches (more or lesse) (pt whereof he received of Willm Spenser for land exchanged to him lyinge in the pine feild) abuttinge upon the cowpasture on the west & the swampe belonginge to the north meadow on the east & on Mr John Higginsons land on the south & on Rob Dayes land on the north.
One psill more lying in the neck of land contayn by estima three acres & three roodes be it more or les part whareof he bought on Mrs Chester & part of William Rusco & a nother part o Rob Day abutting on the coupastuer on the west & on land now or of latte belonging to William Butteller on the north & on land belonging to the sayd Edward Stebing on the south.
One psill of medow lying on the east side of the greatt river contayn by estima two acres three roodes & twenty & two parches be it more or les partt whare of he bought of Mrs Chester & partt of Rob Day & another partt of William Rusco abutting on the great river on the west & on Nickolas Clarckes land on the south & on land belonging to the sayd Edword Stebing on the north.
One psill of swamp lying on the east side of the greatt river contain by estima two acres be it more or les wich he bought of Nathaniell Kelodg abutting on a hyway on the west & on Richards Wattes his land on the east & James Steeles land on the sourth & on William Edwerdes his land on the north.
One psill of medow lying in the littell medow wich he bought of Stepenh Hartt contain by estima three roods & sevnteen parches be it more or less abutting on the hyway leadding fro the littell river to the north meadow on the west & on the river falling out of the north medow in to the greatt river on the east & on the north & on Richard Webbes land on the south.
One psell in the coupastuer contan by estma eaightt acres be it more or les abutting on the neck of land on the east & on the littell oxpastuer on the west & on Mrs Hocker hur land on the south & on William Wadsworths land on the north.
One psell of land lying in the bredgfilld contayn by estma twenty & five acres be it more or les which filld abutteth on the littell river on the east & on the deviding lyne betwene ye south & north side on the south & on common land on the west & on the north.
One psell of swamp lying in the north medow which he boughtt of William Rsco contain by estma two roodes be it more or les abuttnig on the grett river on the east & on John Marshes land on the west & on land belonging to the sayd Edward Stebing on the south & on Richard Goodmans land on the north.
One psill on which a meseuag or tenyment now standeth with other out houses yerdes or gardins there in being which he bought of Rich Olmsted contain by estma two roodes & twenty parches be it more or les abutting on the high way leding fro the mill to the olld ox pastuer on the south & on the west & on & on Derithy Lordes land on the east & on Richerd Lords land on the north.
One psell of medow contain by estma two acres be it more or les abutting on the high way leding fro the littell river too the north medow on the west & on the river falling outt of the north medow on the east & on land sum tyme belonging to Stephen Hartt on the sourth & on land be longing to the inhabitentes of the north side on the north.
One psell of wod land lying for coupastuer estmed fower acres & fower parches be it more or les abutting on a high way on the east & on the littell river on the west & on Thomas Halles his land on the south & on Richerd Church his land on the north.
One psell of wod land lying in the olld oxpastuer estemed two acres be it more or les abutting on the high way leding fro the towne to the littell river on the north & on Mrs Hockers land on the south & on land sum tyme belonging to Seth Grantt on the west & on William Wadsworths land on the east.
One psell lying for coupastuer of wodland contain by estima fower acres two roodes & sixteene parches be it more or les abutting on a high way on the east & on the littell river on the west & on land sum tyme belonging to Robberd Day on the south & on Benjamim Muns land on the north.
All these five pselles last above expreced & the house ware bought by Edwerd Stebing of Richard Olmsted.
One pcell of meadow land lying in the north meadow wch hee had of Thomas Standly contayning by estimacon five acres one roode (more or less) abutting the neck of land west & the land of John Marsh north & the cartway east & land sometimes Tho Rootes south.
One percell of meadow lyeing in the north meadow which he had of Wm Parkes containing by estimation fower acres two roods & twenty nine parches be it more or less abutting on the great river east the litle river west on his one land sowth, on Ensign Olmsteeds land north.
One percell more in the north meadow which he had of Wm Parkes bownded on the high way east on the neck of land west on Thomas Burnams land north on John Stedmans land sowth.
One percell in the neck of land which he had of Wm Parke, abutting on the high way leading to Windsor west on the swamp belonging to the north meadow east, on Mr Westwoods land sowth, & on Mr Steels land north.
One percell more lyeing in the old oxpasture abutting on land some time belonging to Nath Richards east, & on land now comon west, on Ens Olmsteed & Jasper Guns land sowth & on the high way leading from the mill to ye comons on the north.

One parcell of land which they bought of Mr John Davenporte & Mr Wm Goodwin (whoe are feofees in trust for the dispose of the estate of Edward Hopkins Esq according to his will) being the sd Mr Hopkins his house lott wth a percel of medow adjoyneing to it, together wth the dwelling house barne & other out houses gardens ortyards therein being, which sd land contaynes by estimation ten acres (more or less) abutting on John Whites land & on the high way west & on the high way leading to the Indians land sowth & on Jonathan Gilberts land (which was John Arnolds) east & on the Rivelett & high way north.

Invt. L639-02-00. Taken 19 August 1668, by Eleazer Holyoke, John Allyn, Thomas Bull & James Ensign. Will dated 24 August 1663:
I Edward Stebbing do here make my last Will & Testament.
First, I give to my wife Frances my houseing & Lands in Hartford, except such Lands as are hereafter mentioned to be sold, which she is to enjoy for the terme of her natural life, as also two best Cows & 3 of the Best Swine, as also ye Use of the Household Stuffe or so much of it as she shall see need to make Use of. Also in ye End of her natural life she shall have liberty to dispose of L40 as she shall see Fit.
I give to our beloved son John Chester L40.
I give & bequeath, after my wives decease, my Houseing & Land, such of my Lands as shall not be sold to pay my Engagements, I give them to Edward Cadwell, my son Cadwell's Child, and John Wilson, or if he dye before 21 years of age, I give them to Samuel Wilson.
And in Case my gr. child Edward Cadwell dye, then I give the above to the Children of my daughter Cadwell.
Also I give to Samuel Wilson L30.
I give to my son Gaylord's children, Joseph, Benjamin and Joanna, L8 apeice, also Mary Gaylord, whome I do order to be with her gr. Mother.
Also, I give to the four children of my daughter Holyoke, 40 Shillings apiece, John's part to be paid at the age of 21 years.
Also, I do appoint that John Wilson shall be with his Gr. Mother to help her according to his best skill and ability during her natural life, during which time I desire my Executors that he be instructed in my trade by Caleb Stanly, as it may accord with my wives comfort.
I ordain my wife to be my Executrix.
I desire the Hon. Mr Samuel Wyllys, my Brother Eleazer Holyoke, Lieut. Bull and Robert Webster to be Executors.
The remainder of my Estate, after the decease of my wife, to be disposed to my daughter Cadwells Children, to John Wilson, and to Mary Gaylord, at the discretion of my Executors.
I give to Richard Weller 20 shillings.
I give to my Executors 50 shillings apiece.

Jeremy Diggins in the Right of Mary his wife, and appointed to him by the Executors of the last Will of Edward Stebbing, Decd.
