The petition of the undersigned Adolphus Riggsbee respectfully represents that A J Riggsbee
departed this life in this county on or about the 31
day of March 1891, leaving no last will and testament... possessed of
real and personal estate in this state consisting chiefly of a town lot and some money in
the bank...estimated to be worth about $750...
the heirs and distributees of the estate of the said decedent, so far as your
petitioner knows and believes are as follows, to-wit: his brothers and sisters, namely --
Gordon Riggsbee, P E Merrit wife of W H Merritt, L A Durham wife of
W G Durham, Alphonzo Riggsbee, W H Riggsbee, M A Underhill wife
of A G Underhill... all over 21 years of age and reside in the state of North
Carolina, Rufus Riggsbee twenty one years of age residing in the
state of Georgia, and your petitioner Adolphus Riggsbee.
