Marriages:
1. 1801-00-00 Mary "Polly" Jordan
Children of Ralph Bacon and Mary Jordan:

buried in Stewart cemetery, Bucyrus, Crawford Co OH
--
This page says he lived in the part of Geauga Co that is now in Lake Co, and was from MA.
--
The Bacon Genealogy book says his parents lived in VT.
--
I found a book called "Bacons of Sutherland VT" by the Colorado DAR, but it does not mention this Ralph.
--
Children from RootsWeb; Charles is actually the first child but I don't have dates for the others.

another researcher sends:
Mary Jordan married Ralph Bacon in 1801. They then moved to Vermont. Ralph Bacon's parents lived there and Ralph was to have gone home to help on their farm. Their first child, Charles, was born in Vermont on 16 April 1802. Since no record could be found to prove that this was right, and the Bacon family had no proof, until Mary's marriage record is found, we won't know for sure.
By 1805 they were back in Geauga County Ohio, where they had bought land and stayed until 1820.
Charles Parker, one of the surveyors in the Moses Cleveland party, and a good friend of Ralph Bacon, wrote in his surveyor's book that he had reserved 115 acres of "good land" for Ralph Bacon and 170 acres for himself. They planned to clear and live on adjoining tracts of land. This was the land Ralph and Mary returned to when they came back to Ohio.
In 1820, Mary and Ralph Bacon bought land in Crawford County and moved the family there. They traveled by wagon with two yokes of oxen and one horse. There were but two houses in what would later be the city of Bucyrus when the Bacon family passed through on the way to their land, which was three miles east of Bucyrus,Ohio.
--
If Ralph was living with his parents when he was 13, as seems likely, he would be on the 1790 census. These Bacon families in VT have son(s) under 16 years old:
Addison Co, Leicester Town: Joseph (1), Asa (5)
Bennington Co, Sunderland: Amos Bakon (2)
Orange Co, Randolph: John (2)
Rutland Co, Brandon: Nathaniel (1), Philip (2)
Windsor Co, Royalton: Jerub (1)
If Ralph was born earlier than 1777, he might be over 16 on the census. This family is also possible:
Windsor Co, Royalton: Thomas (1 son over 16)

This page about "Olde Northfield Township" OH, which was where the current-day town of Macedonia is located, says:
The first settler to occupy property in the town was Issac Bacon of Massachusetts. He purchased Lot No. 63 in 1806 from the Connecticut Land Grant Company and moved to his newly acquired 160 acres in April of 1807. Bacon and his family traveled to the new frontier in the traditional covered wagon. Their trip took them over the Alleghenies, traveling Indian trails until reaching Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie. It was called Cleveland Township at that time, was part of Geauga County and had only about 30 inhabitants.
Could this be a relative of Ralph? Note that Ralph was in Geauga by 1805.
