Will of John Tuggle, 1820 - Patrick Co. VA
Patrick County VA will book 1 p. 134
I John Tuggle Senr of Patrick County being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and knowing
the uncertainty of this mortal life do hereby make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in
manner and form following hereby revoking all and every former Will or Wills by me made.
Item, after my decease it is my desire that all my just debts be paid according to law and Justice.
Item, after all my Just debts are paid it is my will and desire that my estate, both real and personal be
equally divided between my ten children viz. Sally Jones, Mary Lee, Henry Tuggle, Elizabeth Bolling,
Nancy Burnett, Frances Brammer, Lucy Brammer, James Tuggle, John Tuggle and Anne Sheeler except
one sorrel horse which I got of Capt. Richard Thomas, which I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy all of
which I give and bequeath to the before mentioned Legatees to them and their heirs forever.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my friends Richard Thomas and William Executors to this my last will and
testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 14th day of May in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and twenty.
