There are a bunch of RootsWeb entries for the above Thomas Conolly + Anne Mayfield. Most of them show only one child: John c1705. (Generally the name is spelled Connally.)
A message on the Connolly genforum says that there is no proof John is son of Thomas, but that Thomas and Anne were known to have had daughters.

do make this my last will & testament...
Item I lend to my loving wife
Sarah Conly the following Slave Peter during her natural life or widowhood
together with the plantation whereon I now live with all the appertenances
thereunto belonging containing one hundred and fifty acres of land the said
Slave Peter for the support of my loving wife and my children. I also lend my
loving wife all my stock of horses cattel hogs sheep and every other kind of my
estate during her said life or widowhood. I trust of John Hopkins, Samuel Rich-
ardson that the same may not be wasted or embezeled away.
Item I give to my
son Daniel Davis all my said land after the death of my wife which said land
is given by a deed of gift and recorded in Goochland Court and one negro named
Peter.
Item I give to my son Daniel Davis and my daughter Betsy Conly all my
stock of horses cattle hogs sheep and houshold furniture to be equally divided
between my son Daniel Davis and my daughter Betsey Conley after the death of
loving wife.
Item I give to all and each of my married daughters and there
husbands all the lands and stock I have given them.
Item I give to my daug-
ters Elizabeth, Ann, Hancock, Wenefred, and Milly each of them two Shillings
current money.
Item my desire is that my son Daniel and my daughter Betsey
may have schooling to be paid by my executors out of my estate.
Item I do hereby constitute and appoint John Hopkins and Samuel Richardson hole
and sole executors of this my last will and testament. Witness my hand & seal
this 11th day of July 1782.

At a court held for Goochland County June the 21st 1784 this writing was proved
by the oaths of Jno Hopkins Edwd Davis and Jos Crank the witnesses thereto
to be the last will and testament of Bryant Conly decd which was thereupon
admitted to record.
