I, Maria J Rigsby of Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, do hereby make,
publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament.
I direct that my executrix hereinafter named do pay all my debts and funeral
expenses.
I devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my property, of every character and
description to my daughter, Mary Betty Rigsby, for life, with remainder in fee to Maria
Brannon Rigsby, daughter of my deceased son, O S Rigsby, subject, however, to this
limitation: That should my daughter, Mary Betty Rigsby become disabled or incapable
of providing for herself that she shall have the right and privilege (which I hereby
vest in her) to encumber the real estate, if necessary to its full value, for the pur-
pose of providing for herself.
In case the said Maria Brannan Rigsby should die without issue before Mary Betty Rigsby
then all of said estate shall vest in fee in my said daughter Mary Betty Rigsby; but
should she have issue living at the time of her death said estate shall vest in such
issue in fee after the death of Mary Betty Rigsby.
I hereby appoint my daughter Mary Betty Rigsby as the executrix of this my last will
and testament, without bond.
