I Ruffin Rigsbee of the County of Orange
and state of North Carolina being in sound mind
and memory and of a disposing memory but considering the
the uncertainty of my earthly existance do make and
declare this my last will and testament in manner and
and form following; that is to say
1st My will and desire is that my executor hereinafter
named shall provide for my body a decent burial
suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends, pay all
my Just Debts whatsoever & whomsoever owing out of the
first moneys that may come into his hands as a part or parcel
of my Estate
2d I give to my beloved wife Edney C Rigsbee all my
property both personal and real absolutely for ever
Lastly I constitute and appoint my True and Worthy
friend and wife Edney C Rigsbee my lawful Executrix
to execute this my last will and testament according to
the true intent and meaning of the same hereby
revoking and considering utterly void all other wills
and testaments heretofore by me made.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this the 13th day of March 1869.
