will of Seth Eddy
I Seth Eddy of Norton 
in the County of Bristol in the province of the Massach-
ustts Bay in New England Being of a good and sound disposing 
mind and memory thanks be given to God for it . But as I am 
thretned with a Dangerus Disorder and being week and low I think 
it proper to settle my estate By this my Last will and testament 
as followeth . Principly and first of all I commit my Soul unto 
the Hands of God that gave it and my Body to the Earth in 
Decent Christan Burial and worldly Estate that God in 
his providence has Blessed me with I give demise and Dispose of 
the same as followeth Firstly I give to my well Beloved wife Johannah Eddy
all the movable household Goods that she brought with her also I give 
to my wife one Cow and five sheep and one half of the Sheeps wool one half 
of the flax one half of the Corn after my Decease one half of the meat 
Secondly I give to my Son Abiel Eddy and John Eddis all my Lands 
and the Bildings that is on my Lands and all my movable Estate that is not 
given away as is above said the Lands and movibles to be Equally Divided
Betwen Abiel Eddy and John Eddy they paying all my just Debts and 
funeral charges also sd Ebiel and sd John Eddy to pay to my Daughter 
Lydea Eddy three pounds six Shillings and Eight pence Lawfull money 
I order also that my tow sons pay to my Daughter Bethiah Eddy three 
pounds six Shillings and Eight pence Lawfull money I order also 
that my two sons pay to my Daughter Rhodah Eddy three pounds
Six Shillings and Eight pence Lawfull money I order also that my two 
Son to pay to my Daughter Johannah Eddy three pounds six Shillings 
and Eight pence Lawfull money my will is for my two sons namely Abiel
and John Eddy to pay out the Debts and charges and Legacies Equally 
a like 
In wittness hereunto I have set my hand and seal this Seventeenth 
Day of May Anno Domini 1765 and in the first year of the 
Reign of our Lord George the third 
Signed Sealed and published pronounced and Declared to be my 
Last Will and testament
