Notes:
His mother's will names eight "orphan grandchildren" named Johnson. Five of them are children of her daughter Phereby, who married Thomas Johnson and died in 1878. Thomas did not re-marry (and if he did any children wouldn't be Phereby's grandchildren), so Mordie, Hattie, and Willie must be from William.
The 1880 census has a Hattie B 7, Mattie D 5, and Jno Wm 3, children of Thomas C Johnson 44 + Lydia Cooper. That isn't Thomas who married Phereby, because he is on a different page with the known children. Thomas C married Lydia on 1866-12-25, but I don't see him in Allen Co on the 1860 census. He is there on the 1870, and their only child is Lydia's by an earlier marriage. I don't see him on the 1850 either, unless he is the C Johnson age 11 s/o William + J.

William H 19, but he is living with his parents William 52 and Martha 45.
