He probably was born in the 1740s, but may have been born as late as 1754.
His will was written in 1807. Apparently he died before 1810.
I am not positive he was the father of Holly, but it seems very likely.
His children may have included: Jenny who married in Orange Co NC 1810-05-04 Anderson Coulter, Guilly who married in Orange Co NC 1816-12-31 Martin Glenn, Thomas, Peggy who married in Orange Co NC 1806-04-07 Eason Pritchard, Robert E who married in Orange Co NC 1804-12-18 Mary Pickett
On the census he is shown with only daughters, but he easily could have had children who were on their own before 1790.
He may be a brother of Drury and Travis.

He is on tax lists for St Thomas District of Orange Co NC in 1780, 1785, and 1792. In 1785 he has 137 acres, and in 1792 only 113.
The Margie Boyd book says this district is near the present-day intersection of Durham, Orange, and Person Cos.
