genforum message 413 says he died in Chester Co SC. I think he was actually born in Chester Co and died in York Co, probably in the northern part of York Co. (Or maybe the county lines were redrawn.)
Note: York Co is on the north border of SC, and Chester Co is directly south of it. Mecklenburg Co NC (where Robert's daughter Mary's husband was born) is directly across the border from York Co.
