Notes:

birth place uncertain

father might be James Wood (involved in Kirkpatrick land transactions)

--
This page says that her last name is not proven to be Wood. It says another possibility is Galloway, because several Galloways were involved with the settlement of her estate.
[Hugh Galloway, John Galloway, and Andrew Kirkpatrick were administrators of her estate. James Galloway also bought some items. One or more of the Galloways could be a son-in-law.]

Note, though, that two of her children had middle name "Wood".

--
There was a Reuben Wood who married Jane Currey and is buried in Sugg's Creek church cemetery,
Wilson Co TN. Note that the Kirkpatricks and Yandells attended the same church. Reuben + Jane had
a daughter Jane Harriet Wood who married Samuel D Yandell.

--
There is a Thomas Wood on the same 1790 census page as Robert Kirkpatrick.
Also on the page are Alexander and Peter Galoway.

On the 1800 census Thomas Woods, and Alexander and Peter Gallaway, are on the same page as
Robert Kirkpatrick.

Alexander (b 1746) and Peter (b 1757) are brothers, born in Ireland to William 1715. Are they Rebecca's
brothers?

Information on the Galloway Genforum indicates Alexander and Peter had brothers William and James,
and a sister (name not known) who also immigrated. The family was probably from Scotland before
living in Ireland.
An entry at RootsWeb says the sister was Mary.
