A 1727-12-11 petition requesting western Taunton to be established as a separate precinct contains a signature for Eleazar Fisher. Is that this Eleazar? Was he in Norton or Taunton at the time? There was also a Daniel Fisher who is probably his brother.

I Eleazer Fisher of Norton in the
County of Bristoll in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in
N England yeoman being now in the seventy eigthth year of my
age and but week of body but of a sound mind and memory...
make this my Last will and testament as followeth...

First of all let all my just debts and generall[?] be paid by my executor
out of my estate.

Then firstly I give and bequeath unto Hannah Fisher my well
beloved wife the use and injoyment of the southwest room in
my now dwelling house and the chamber over it and the bed
room and the kitchen that is behind it with a chimney
in it and the entry in the fore pat of the house and ye fore door
to pass in and out at and half the celler with priviledge to go in
and out to improve it together all my land on the same side of ye
way that the house in Quite[?] down to the river with the land
on the west side of ye way joyning to my brother Nathaniel
Fisher's land and joyning to my son John Fisher's land and to reach
as far southerly as to make it as wide as the land is on the northwest
side of ye way where the house stands with bee hive and liberty to
go on to any of my other land and cast[?] of what fire wood she shall
want to use in ye house and also to go into my lot of cedar _____
in the swamp called by ye name of ____ Cedar Swamp and there to gett
what cedar ___ she shall want to repair the fences on the land or to ___
new fence there and room on the south side of the house to lay wood or other
things that shall be needfull for improving the house and land and also
my ___ fire shovel and tongs and a large bed chest and a white
table with turned legs and a drawer all which house land and things
above described she shall have the use and improvements of so long as
she remains my widow and bears my name and no longer. And I do
give unto her the Hannah Fisher and to her heir and assigns for
ever all the house hold goods and movable estate of what sort or kind
so ever which she brought to me when I married her and also all
the woolen yarn and new cloth that I have at the time of my decease
and all my leather and also three pounds six shillings and eight pence
lawfull money to buy her a suite of morning cloth which I order my
executor to buy her out of my estate before they make any division
thereof amongst any of my children.

I also give unto her sd Hannah Fisher a coverlid which she made since
I married her and two good ___ blankets and two sheets and five sheep[?]
and all the meet corn and provisions which I shall leave at my decease
and hay to keep the cows out well thru winter if I die before spring and
and two[?] water pails all which I give her in lieu of her right of dower
or power of thirds in my estate.

And whereas I have given my sons Eleazer Fisher John Fisher Nehemiah
Fisher and Jonathan Fisher deeds of gift of some of my lands as may
appear by sd deed I now order all those lands to be measured and
valued at twenty six shillings and eight pence lawfull money ___.

And I had given unto my son Nathan Fisher and paid debts for him
and what he now oweth me which is to the value of forty five pounds
fourteen shillings old tenner which is equall to six pounds one shilling
and ten pence halfpenny lawfull money and I had give to my
daughter Patience the wife of Seth Eddy the value of thirty three pounds
nineteen shillings old tenner which is equal to four pounds teen
shillings and six pence halfpenny lawfull money and I had
given to my daughter Charity the wife of Seth Carpenter and to
my daughter Joannah Whitman the wife of David Whitman
and to my daughter Mary the wife of David Darby twenty pounds
old tenner a peice to each of them which each one of them has ___
already equall to two pounds thirteen shillings and four pence lawfull
money apiece now I do give unto my sons Eleazer John Nehemiah
Nathan and Jonathan and my daughters Patience Charity Joannah and
Mary and their heirs and assigns for ever all the rest of my real and
personall estate of what kind or nature soever to be divided amongst them
in such a just proportion as that my eldest son Eleazer shall have
a just[?] double portion out of my estate valuing what he has had
already as part thereof as I have felt it at as above sd and all the
rest of my sons and daughters equally share in my estate amounting
and valuing what they have respectively received already as part
thereof as I have ___ them at respectively as aforesd and there shall
be a division thereof made as soon as conveniently may be after my
decease that is to say of that part thereof which my sd wife Hannah
Fisher hath not the improvement of and that part thereof which
my sd wife is to improve during her widow hood and bearing my name
shall be divided amongst my above named children in the same
portion as above sd as soon as my sd wife shall cease to be my widow
and bearing my name or die -- It is to be understood that my sd executor
shall be paid for their trouble and charges in administrating on my estate
out of it before there is any division made thereof

I also give unto my daughter Mary Darby my best bed and bolster and a
coverlid which which she has had already only they shall be
prized and she shall have them as part of her portion which I have
given her as above sd and there is a coverlid which my sd daughter
Johannah Whitman has received already which shall be prized and
valued as part of her portion as before mentioned and also a black
and yellow ___ eye coverlid and my son son Nehemiah Fisher has a
___ of mine in keeping which shall be prized and he shall take
it as part of his portion as aforesd

And I do appoint my two sons Elezaer
Fisher and John Fisher to be executors of this my last will and
testament declaring this and none but this this to be my last will
and testament.

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand
and seal this twenty seventh day of October in ye twenty fourth
year of his majesty's reign Anno Domini 1750.
