They are supposed to have had children John, Paralee, and Ruth, but those names do not appear on
the census entries.
An 1887 Goodspeed history of Meigs Co says that John + Susan had 12 children, of whom 8 were
living. Since the census gives evidence of only 9, the above three children must have died young.
