Some genforum messages have his wife as Mary Camp. Others show Mary as his second wife, and being "the widow Camp". John's will refers to the Camp children as "son-in-law" (the common term for step-children at the time).
--
A tree that no longer exists showed his wife being Mary Canfield, widow of Edward Camp.
--
Another tree showed that Mary Canfield married c1645 Edward Camp, then 1662-04-04 John Lane. She had children with Edward from c1645 to 1655, which is after the dates for the children of John Lane. Mary Canfield was born 1625-01-01 Nazine, Essex ENG and died 1681-02-22 Milford, New Haven CT, so she can't be the mother of John Lane's children.
--
Some RootsWeb trees had his wife as Kattreen (unknown) 1607. (Note that he has a daughter Katherine.)
--
He seems to have come to America about 1634 or so. Note that his son's wife's father is also from Derbyshire England. Perhaps they immigrated together?
