A message on the Washington DC mail-list says that the 1827 Washington DC directory shows him
as a blacksmith on Virginia Avenue between 3rd and 4th.
The message also gives information about the settlement of his estate.

On the 1850 census hs is living with Mary, Malinda, and Archabel. Presumably they are his children, and his wife has already died.
He may have had a son Thomas c1808 who moved to Baltimore Co MD.
Genforum message 52 says he had a son James and a daughter Rachel.
