1694-03-02 Will of Martha Lions of Roxbury
I being sensible of my approaching end, being not well, yet of a
disposing mind and of perfect understanding , do proceed to make
this my last Will as followeth . I do appoint and ordain my Son Ebenezer
Cass to be my sole Executor, and after my death do order and appoint
him to bury me in decent and Christian manner . And after the Funeral
charges is paid out of my money , I do give and bequeath the remainder
to this my Executor , more I give to him the one halfe part of Drinks
that shall be found in my House , more I give him halfe the bay , one
Cow or equivalent to the same . He also shall have the great chair the
joint Forme , my Bible and one of the Chamber 2 . I give and
bequeath to my Daughter Abigail all my Household Stuff as bedding
pewter and what shall be found mine . Excepting something to my Daughter
Griggs . More I give to Abigail the other half part of drinks bay and
provision , and my Linnen. Abigail also shall have that Twenty pound
attained , which is due upon Bond . I give and bequeath to my Daught
Griggs . One pair of blankets one pair of Sheets , one pair of pillowbeers , my
hoeing hood and my Silk hood. I give and bequeath to my two sons .
Joseph and Samuel Cass , each of them five shillings in money. I give to
my Daughter Radmon my black silk apron my red coat and a pair of
sheets my cloak my black Gloves . I give to my Daughter Green one suit of my
wearing Cloaths , and the rest of my woollen cloathing equally to be
divided among my Daughters Also I do give to my Grandson John Cass
twenty shillings in money to be paid to him when he comes to the age of
Twenty one yeares to be paid by Ebenezer and Abigail one half from one
