Richard 1760 d 1825 Culpeper Co VA? (kind of unlikely)
That John was s/o John Garret c1690 + Susannah Burton c1695

There were Garriotts in Culpeper Co VA in the 1700s.
LDS has a James Garrett c1769 Fauquier Co VA d/o John + Mary. Fauquier is next to Culpeper.
Culpeper Co VA was created from Orange Co VA in 1749.

There was a John Garret of Culpeper Co VA who enlisted in the Revolutionary War.
In the DAR database he is number A044228. They show him born 1756 Culpeper Co VA d 1836 Scott Co KY. He is shown married to Elizabeth Cunard and Mary Hardin, but no children are given.
On the 1830 census there are two John Garretts in Scott Co KY. One is 70-80 and has a wife 70-80. The other is 20-30 and has a wfie 20-30 and daughter under 5. They are on pages 173 and 182 respectively.
They aren't there on the 1820 census, nor in Culpeper Co VA.

There was an Edmond Garrot age 26-45 in Allen Co KY on the 1820 census.
The 1810 census for Warren Co KY has Presly Garret age 26-45 and Amos Garrett age 16-26. There
is also a Hezekiah age 26-45 whose last name is hard to read but might be Garret.
Amos and Hezekiah are on the same page as Willis Mitchell, who married this John's daughter's
husband's sister. RootsWeb entries have Amos s/o Presley + Elizabeth Baxter, and Presley s/o
William + Margaret Presley.
