W. H. Bolinger, Madison Countys present Treasurer, was born in Ray County, Tennessee in 1845, and came to Arkansas in 1850 with his parents.
Mr. Bolinger remained at home with his parents til the rebellion began when he entered the First Arkansas Infantry of the Union Army, where he served till the close of the war.
In 1880 he engaged in the dry goods business in Huntsville with Mr. Marrs, where he has since done business.
In 1893, he was nominated and elected Treasurer by the Republican Party of Madison County.
Mr. Bolinger is a zealous Republican and a prominent G.A.R. man.
