Notes:

He was a notorious outlaw and gambler in the early days of Texas.
There is a very good article about him in the Spring 2005 edition of
Plum Creek Almanac, a Caldwell Co TX Historical Society publication.
He is also mentioned in an article in the Journal of the Western Outlaw and Lawmen Association, but I'm not sure which issue.

They also had a son Robert c1866 d c1870.
