Warning: It is speculation on my part that they were the parents of the Elizabeth Johnson who married
Hillsman Hinton.
On the 1830 census Hillsman is 4 lines away from Mary's brothers Matthew and Henry.
On the 1820 census George Hinton, father of Hillsman, is 3 lines away from Thomas Johnson, and the
Motleys are on Thomas' other side.
There are several other Johnson families in Allen Co on the 1820 census, but only one has a daughter
born about 1800: Margaret Johnson who is also on page 122 with the Motleys. It is possible that
Hillsman's wife was Margaret's daughter, but given that Mary's sister Elizabeth also married a Johnson,
I think it more likely Mary was Elizabeth's mother.
Note: DNA shows that I am related to a descendant of Hillsman and Elizabeth. There was a lot of intermarriage between the Allen Co KY families, so the connection could be from another line, but most likely Elizabeth really does belong in this family.

Warning: It is speculation on my part that they were the parents of the Penelope Johnson who married
Uriah Smith.
Uriah is on the page after Mary's brothers Matthew and Henry on the 1830 census. He is the first person
on p77, and they are 2/3 of the way down on p76.
The person after Uriah is Page Johnson 30-40. Is that a son of Thomas + Mary?
Note that Mary had a sister Penelope.
On the 1850 census Uriah and Penelope are in Osage Co MO. They have sons Thomas and Drury.

The next two families are Hardy Weatherspoon (who married Mary's sister Nancy) and James Motley,
Mary's brother.
On p118 is another Tho Johnson, but that one is 26-45. He is near a Benj Johnson, also 26-45, and
another Tho Johnson, over 45. It looks like they are a separate family from this Thomas.
