I, J M Riggsbee of the County of Chatham
and State of North Carolina, Being of sound and
disposing mind and memory Do hereby make
and publish this as and for my last will and
testament

1st I direct my executors to pay my just debts,
my funeral expenses and the expense of the ad-
ministration of my estate as soon as reasonably
may be after my deceased.

2nd I give all my real estate as well as my
personal property to my beloved wife Mary E Riggs-
bee during her natural life. After her death, I gave
to my daughters Ila J Riggsbee and Bessie D Riggs-
bee my dwelling in which I now live and forty acres
of land on the north end of my land beginning
in W H Merritts line running west to J C Horton's
line, and the balance of my land I equally divid
between my sons John W Riggsbee, William M Riggs-
bee and Nannie E Williams. I Gave all my personal
property at the death of their mother Mary E
Riggsbee to my daughters Ila J Riggsbee and
Bessie D Riggsbee.

I do hereby appoint my wife
Mary E Riggsbee and John W Riggsbee to be the
executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this the 4th day of April 1906.

I hereby amend this my last
will and testament by giving to the State of North
Carolina one fourth (1/4) acre of my land which is
my family Grave yard to be used only as such
this the 4th day of April 1906
