Notes:

Probably I don't have his children with the correct mothers.

--
died before 1816; some trees have him born in VA or Knox TN

--
A RootsWeb entry shows this Jeremiah with 3 wives: Rosie Silvers, mother of Isaac, Martha, Ursula, and James; Nancy Burk, mother of John and Jeremiah III, and Martha Hughs. [I think Martha Hughes was actually the wife of Jeremiah Burnett III.]
Another gives his wife as Elizabeth Claybrook b abt 1740. It also has his second wife as Nancy Burk.

--
Some trees say Jeremiah married Elizabeth Claybrook in 1792, others say 1760. If it's 1792 she isn't the mother of my Reuben. And it looks like maybe Jeremiah did not have any children by Nancy Burk.

--
from "Burnetts from VA to Wayne Co KY" by Blevins:
The Rosa/Rosie who married Jeremiah was not a Silvers. Rosa was captured by Indians as a child and later rescued. Her family name is not known. Around the same time a Rosanna was also captured by Indians and later rescued. She was the Silvers, and was recognized by scars on her legs.

Children James & Isaac were half-brothers of Isham. Isaac was son of Rosa.

--
from a Burnett page that no longer exists:
He enlisted on 26 December 1776 from Amherst Co., Virginia for six months in the Revolutionary War and was a private in the 10th Virginia Regulars under Capt. James Franklin. The company muster roll of 31 May 1777 shows that he and his brother, John, deserted on 15 March 1777. Bork indicates that Mr. Ray Blevins had related to her and that she had heard the same story while in Wayne Co., Kentucky on several trips, that Jeremiah of Wayne was called "Big Jerry." and was a champion bare-fist fighter. He is said to have bitten a finger from an opponent when the opponent played dirty. Also Jerry had captured two British Officer's and to humiliate them, he made them drink whiskey from his hands until they became drunk. Realizing the difficulty he faced, due to his conduct, he went AWOL from the Army.

--
In 1781 he supplied bacon and food to the Henry County Court House, which had a hospital set up for wounded soldiers.

[Isaac 28, Jeremiah 70ish, wife]

[The last name looks like it starts with a lower-case "b". Note that son Reuben is on p362. There is no
other Jeremiah or Burnett listed who could be him.]
