This indenture made this the
17 day of June 1876 between Wm
D Stallings and Mrs Zadie Stallings of the State and
County of Harris of the one part and John C Rigsby
of Marion County State aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth that the said Wm A Stallings for and
of the sum of five hundred dollars
Sold unto the said John C Rigsby part of lot No
109 one hundred and nine in 4 district of Marion
County Situated in the Village of Buena Vista and
known as the W J Brooks place together with all
improvements thereon giving unto the said John
C Rigsby his bond for titles be for the payment by
the said J C Rigsby unto him the said Wm Stallings
or bearer the sum of two hundred and eighty six
dollars besides interest the same being ballance
due as part of purchase money price of afore described
property for the securing and evidencing of which
the said Jno A Rigsby gave his certain promissory
note to Wm T Stallings or bearer which said note the
said Wm T Stallings traded and transfered to one
O A Gibson who instituted said thence in the
County Court of Marion County and obtained
Judgment against the said John C Rigsby for
the sum of two hundred eighty six dollars prin
cipal and ten 90 100 dollars interest to date of
Judgment together with costs in that behalf
said out and expended at the June term of said
Court In pursuance of Statute made provided
as well in consideration of the principal sum of
$286.00 and ten 90/100 interest cost of Judgment as
appears of Record in the County Court of Marion
County the said Wm D Stallings & Zadie Stallings
do the grant bargain sell and convey unto the
Said J C Rigsby this heirs and assigns all that tract
or parcel of land Situate lying and being in
the County of Marion being part lot 109 togeth
er with improvements thereon the same being
Situate in the Village of Buena Vista and Known
as the W J Brooks place
To have and to hold said tract or parcel of
land to him the said J C Rigsby his heirs assigns
together with all singular the rights members and
appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner
belonging to his and their own proper and benefit
and behoof forever in fee Simple
And the Said Wm D Stallings & Mrs Zadie Stallings
for themselves their heirs executors administrators
the said bargained premises to the said Jno C Rigsby
his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever
defend the right and title thereof against themselves
claims of all persons whosoever
In Witness whereof the said Wm D Stallings & Mrs Zadie
Stallings hath hereunto set their hand affixed their
