Know ye That in consideration of an entry made in the Entry Takers Office of
Rhea Co, of No 389, dated the 30th day of
January, 1855, by B F Bridgeman & Wm Rigsby

there is granted by the state of Tennessee unto the said Bridgeman & Rigsby and their heirs,
a certain tract of land, containing two hundred
acres, lying in the county aforesaid, on Walden's Ridge and on the waters of Brush Creek &
adjoining the lands of said Bridgeman & R P Loyd, beginning and
bounded as follows, viz: Beginning on two post oaks, the southwest
corner of said Bridegman's 200 acre tract, thence south 75 deg west 121 poles
to a black oak on the line of said Loyd's, thence with said Loyd's lines
south 51 deg east 216 poles to 3 post oaks & black oak, thence north 40 deg east 231
poles to 2 hickories, thence north 26 deg west 60 poles to the southeast corner of
said Bridgeman, thence with said Bridgeman's line south 75 deg west
200 poles to the beginning.

Surveyed 15th March 1856
with appurtenances, to have and hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said
Bridgeman & Rigsby and their heirs forever. In witness thereof, Andrew Johnson,
Governor of the State of Tennessee, has hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the state to be affixed at Nashville,
on the 8th day of June in the year 1857.

there is granted by the state of Tennessee unto the said John M & Wm J Rigsby and their heirs,
a certain tract of land, containing four hundred and five
acres, lying in the county aforesaid, on Walden's Ridge and on the waters of Richland &
Brush creek, & adjoining the lands of B F Bridgeman, James Shillen,
Thomas Reess, Plumby & Bridgeman & Rigsby --- Beginning & bounded as
follows viz: Beginning on two post oaks, the northwest corner of a two
hundred acre tract of said Bridgeman, then north 15 deg west with the line
of said Bridgeman's 100 acre tract 100 poles to the corner, thence the
same course 79 poles to three black oaks on the line of James
Shillen, thence with the line of said Shillen's north 82 deg west 164 poles to a
stake & pointers said Shillen's corner, thence the same course 32 poles
to a stake & post oak & white oak pointers on the line of Thomas
Reess, thence with the line of said Reess south 130 poles to a hickory
said Reess corner, thence the same course 106 poles to a white oak & two
hickories on the line of said Plumby's, thence with the lines of said
Plumby's north 80 deg east 162 poles to a stake, said Plumby's corner, thence
south 10 deg east 174 poles to two hickories on the line of said Bridgeman and
Rigsby, thence with their line north 75 east 111 poles to two post oaks,
their beginning corner, thence with the line of Bridgeman north 15 west 160
poles to the beginning. (Containing by calculation 405 acres.)

with appurtenances, to have and hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said
John M & Wm J Rigsby and his heirs forever. In witness thereof, Andrew Johnson,

I thought he was in Johnson Co TN for the 1840 census, but now have decided it doesn't make sense for him to be that far east, especially when he is in GA for the 1850 census. He really should be around White or Bledsoe in 1840.
