Jeremiah was one of 15 children of Robert Duncan, born in Scotland, and wrote his Will on March 29, 1787...

5 older daughters: "Each to get 5 shillings: Margaret, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Isabel, Janet.
5 minor aged children: Mary, Eastair, Rachel, Robert, Nancy. "Robert to be apprenticed as a blacksmith".
