Notes:

Sledge has her parents as Aaron Armstrong and Elizabeth Landers, but this is wrong.
Warren Co KY marriage records show that Aaron married Elizabeth in 1800.
I think Aaron may have been her brother, not her father.
Maybe her father was named Aaron, but he is not the Aaron that married Elizabeth Landers.
Note that she had a son John Armstrong Willoughby, suggesting her father might have been a John.

--
There was a John Armstrong 1740 ENG who married an Elizabeth Landers 1746 ENG. He doesn't seem to have had a daughter Elizabeth, though.

--
There was a John Armstrong c1740 d 1818 Muhlenberg Co KY who married Mary (unknown) and had a daughter Elizabeth c1776. That John's will is extant, and names his daughter Elizabeth Smith.

--
There was a Clement Armstrong in Johnston Co NC (where John Willoughby was born) on the 1790 census.

There were several Armstrong families in Cumberland Co, next to Johnston.
