Notes:

Lived in Allen County KY, on Bays Fork Creek.

There is a large Willoughby graveyard on this farm. Elizabeth is buried there, as are many of the children and grandchildren. Vinson is buried across the creek in her (Elizabeth's) family's graveyard. The story is they were visiting her family when he died suddenly; the creek was "up" because of the spring rains and they could not get to the Willoughby farm.

The last will and testament of Vinson Willoughby being low in health but of sound and disposing
memory this April 6th 1855.
First, I want all my just debts paid.
Secondly, I want my wife Elizabeth Willoughby to have the use of my landed estate for the purpose
of enabling her to raise my children during her natural life also all my perishable property to be used
or disposed of as she may think proper for the same purpose also all my accounts notes and moneys
if any all of which is at her disposal and use of the family.
I have furnished my son William Willoughby, Permelia Jane Willoughby, Nancy Ellen Willoughby,
and John N Willoughby each with a good horse, saddle and bridle, I want each of my remaining
children to be made up equal to them as they may arrive at a proper age to ___ them.
The ballance of my children are Elizabeth F Willoughby, Drucilla Willoughby, Aron A Willoughby,
Mary K Willoughby, Hardy S Willoughby, Hiram E Willoughby, Olive B Willoughby, Cirena E
Willoughby, Malinda Susan Willoughby, Francis M Willoughby, and James E Willoughby. Upon a
final division of my estate, I want all of my children made equal heirs at law in my property both
real and personal should my wife be able to furnish either of them property, I wish a receipt of the
same, should my wife die before all my children become of age the I wish all my estate both real
and personal sold at public sale and the proceeds ____ into the hands of Guardians for my
children.
Lastly, I hereby request and appoint my beloved wife and friends Isaac McMurry and Zachariah
Motley as executors of this will signed in the presence of
