Some genealogy sites say he was born about 1772. That is not consistent with the census, though.
He probably died between 1850 and 1860 in Surry Co NC.

I don't have hard proof that Lewis was son of Drury, but there is circumstantial evidence:
Drury's son Thomas married in Orange Co NC and then moved to Wilkes Co NC.
Lewis seems to have married in Chatham Co NC (next to Orange Co) and moved to Wilkes Co NC.
Thomas had a son Lewis, and Lewis had a son Thomas.
There are instances where descendants of Lewis live near descendants of Drury.

Also, autosomal DNA from Lewis' descendants consistently shows matches to Drury's descendants
