This Richard married Mary Madison after 1760.

This page has a Richard Collins born 1695 VA marrying in 1720 a Mary Mullins born 1700; Richard being son of Thomas Collins b 1671 d 1748-02-07 K&Q Co VA and Elizabeth (unk) b 1670. (Thomas' will dated 1748-01-03) They don't give any children for Richard. The Collins line continues up to John Collins b 1659 Kent England.
My original source (Sledge) had that Richard and Mary as the parents of Amy Collins. I think that's wrong because the dates are too far back. (We might tie into that Collins line somewhere further back, though.)

Another RootsWeb page had Richard Collins son of Thomas Collins b 1687 d 1752 Spottsylvania Co VA and Elizabeth. Thomas is son of Joseph Collins b 1676 (Essex Co VA?) d 1748-05-03 VA, and Catherine Robertson/Robinson. Joseph is son of John Collins b c1655 Carolina VA and Catherine Robertson b c1651 (obviously something wrong there). John is son of William Collins b c1612 and Ann (widow of Thomas Wilds).
Unfortunately, DNA shows that this Richard Collins is not related to the Thomas Collins who died in 1752.
