There was also a Nathan Martin who married in Barren Co KY 1827 Ann Maginnis. He could be either of
the above sets of census entries, as could the Nathan who married Nancy Bright.

One RootsWeb entry says the Nathan Martin who married Nancy Bright was born 1783, s/o Benjamin
Martin + Nancy Kemper. Ben and Nathan are on the same page of the 1820 census for Warren Co,
along with Ben's son John. Nathan is married, with no children. Ben died in Barren Co in 1838. On the
1830 census he appears to be still in Warren Co, as is his son Ben Jr. There is a John who matches
Ben's son in both Warren and Barren Cos. There isn't a Nathan Martin in Warren Co.
The 1820 census was in August, and Nancy married in October. If Ben's son Nathan married Nancy, his
first wife must have died in the two-month period between. Would he really have remarried that quickly,
especially if he had no young children? Note that Nancy is clearly still with her parents on the census, so
can't be Ben's son's wife.
