Mary Willoughby Genealogy
Record modified: 2009-09-07
Born: (unknown)
Died: (unknown) Missouri? USA
Notes:
married Charles Harrington [c1776 Tryon Co NC d 1831-06-14 Clay Co MO s/o Thomas Harrington + Sarah Shipman]
An 1817 deed shows them "of Mizurah territory".
Many genealogy sites say Charles Harrington's wife was Mary Lairwell, and that they married in
Barren Co KY. Others say his wife was Mary Lawrence.
Barren Co records show Charles Harrington married 1804-09-16 Polly Laswell.
Was Mary Willoughby first married to a Laswell? Or were there two Charles Harringtons?
--
They probably had a daughter Eliza c1814 KY d 1874-08-09 who married 1837-01-018 Hiram Pitcher.

The only match on the 1830 census is:
1830 census Clay Co MO p280
Charles Harrington 1 M 15-20, 1 M 50-60, 1 F 10-15, 1 F 50-60
In 1830 Clay Co was the north-west strip of the state, comprising current-day Worth, Gentry, DeKalb,
Clinton, and Clay Cos.
1820 census for MO is lost.
The 1810 census for Warren Co KY shows Nathe Harrington on p253 and Mirick? Harrington on p278.
Anthony Willoughby is on p273, and several of my other families are within a few pages.
