A memorandum dated 1841-01-18 on p204 of Huntingdon Co PA Will Book Vol 3/4 says that a letter of administration was granted to John M Gibboney on the estate of John Confer late of Aleghany twp decd.

A note on p122 in Blair Co PA Will Book A says that a letter of administration for the estate of John Confer was granted in Huntingdon Co PA, and that the account was filed on 1848-07-24.
[Blair was formed in 1846 from Huntingdon and Bedford.]

petition of John M Gibbony administrator of John Confer... estate is insufficient for payment of debts... requesting order to sell land...

His land is described as sixty feet on Market St in Duncansville, extending back to the Portage Railway. He had a grocery and a blacksmith shop, and a 1 1/2-story house.
