Born: about 1785-00-00
Died: (unknown)

Notes:

She was born between 1784 and 1790, probably close to 1784, most likely in Wake Co NC.
I still haven't found out what her name was, but she married Jeremiah Smith. (see notes for her parents)

--
Another researcher sends:
She might be Joanna. There is a marriage record for Jeremiah Smith + Joanna (unknown) in South Carolina in the approximate time span.

--
I found a couple of RootsWeb entries that show
Jeremiah G II Smith 1773-12-23 Lancaster Dist SC d 1843 Pike Co MS
+ 1798-12-16 Joanna Holley Dillon 1778-08-22 Bertie Co NC
with children born in Pike Co MS 1809 and later.

He is probably the Jeremiah mentioned by the above researcher. Note that this can't be the one I'm
looking for, because this Rigsby woman was still with her parents on the 1800 census.

On the "Southern Smiths DNA project" is listed

Jeremiah Smith b 1795 NC
Children: John J, David Franklin, Martha Adaline, Jeremiah Marcus,
Harriet Catherine, Elisha M, Emerline Malinda, Barbara Susanna,
Mary Caroline

--
I have a DNA match who also matches other Rigsby descendants and who has an ancestor Rice A Smith 1806-03-16 Spartanburg, Spartanburg Co SC d 1904-06-23. There are no other matching surnames in their tree, so it looks like Rice could be Jeremiah's son.

I can't find them on the 1830 census.
In Sumner Co TN are two Smith households headed by a woman, but both are too old to be this woman.
If Jeremiah died she might have remarried.

I think this is them:
1820 census Sumner Co TN p178
Jerimiah Smith 1 M 10-16, 1 M 45+, 3 F <10, 1 F 10-16, 1 F 26-45

Her brothers Wright and Daniel are in Smith Co TN, and brother John is in Allen Co KY. Sumner Co adjoins Allen Co, and in 1820 Smith Co adjoined Sumner.
There is also a Jeremiah Smith in Franklin Co, but his wife is 45+
There is also one in Humphreys Co. He and his wife are 26-45, and they have a son and daughter 10-16, and 3 sons <5.
The one in Humphreys Co could be the right family, but the one in Sumner Co seems more likely.

1810 census in Pendleton Co SC p150
Jeremh Smith 1 M <10, 1 M 26-45, 1 F <10, 1 F 16-26

Her mother is on p140, and her brothers on p141 and p142.
