I am not at all sure I have the census records correct for this person. They are wildly inconsistent, but there were no other Rigsbys in CA. Or there may have been two Edwards, though that seems unlikely.

He pretty much has to be a son of John or Robert. Robert had an unidentified son who matches one of the ages below.
