He appears to be the John W Warfield who married 1838-09-03 Matilda Lewis 1811-06-10 d/o Isaac
Lewis + Margaret Bristow. Matilda seems to have died before 1843. The 1850 census entry for her mother
shows children Polly Warfield 10 IA and Garrett Warfield 8 IA.
John appears to have then married 1843-09-21 Lucinda Harris (widow of Robert Davis), who died soon
afterwards. They had a daughter Lucinda E 1844 IN. John had another daughter Emeline J 1850, but it
isn't clear if Lucinda was Emeline's mother.
