This RootsWeb entry shows him with two wives, (unknown) Joyeux and c1739 Elizabeth Barbee. Elizabeth is the second wife. Sons Richard and Joyeux are from the first wife. It gives his birthdate as 1707. It shows Richard born between 1725 and 1731.
Thomas' father Joseph is shown born between 1667 and 1685 in K&Q Co VA, married 1705 Catherine Robinson 1690. Catherine is d/o John Robinson and Ann Holiday. Ann Holiday is d/o William Holiday.

Richard Collins of King and Queen Co to Joy Collins, William Collins and Thomas Collins, 5 shill curr, and in compliance with the will of Thomas Collins Decd "All that tract and separate parcels of land devised to them by the will of the sd Thomas Collins Decd, to be divided according to the direction of Joseph Collins, Gent, and Richard Collins" party to these presents, etc.

I Thomas Collins of the Parish of St George the County of
Spotsylvania, being very weak & low of condition...
Item I lend unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Collins all my lands and Negroes excepting
one Negro boy named Gif, with whatsoever stock goods and chattels money and
debts etc and whatsoever else shall belong to me at my decease for and during
term of her widowhood or whilst such times my beloved son Joyx Collins arrives to
the age of twenty one years, and then my land to be divided into three parts & for
him to take his choice, and the rest of my stock goods chattels etc to be divided
into four parts, and for him to take one part, and the rest to be with her as is
before mentioned, and at the time of her decease, to be equally divided between
my beloved sons Thomas Collins Junr and William Collins.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son Richard Collins the above mentioned
Negro boy named Gif.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son Joyx Collins one gold ring boand [?] FF
and two silver spoons and my desire is that Joyx shall have three years schooling
before bound, when he shall arive the age of sixteen, then to be bound to some good
trade, such as my executors thinks proper.
I do hereby revoke and make void
all former wills by me made at any time, and I do declare this to my last
will and testament, and I do appoint my wife Elizabeth Collins and my
brother Joseph Collins, my whole and sole executors of this my last will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of June
one thousand seven hundred and fifty one.
