I'm not positive he was the father of Garlin and John T, but it seems most likely.

He was a farmer.

He and his brother Henry briefly moved to Sumner Co TN, where they married women named Brooks. I suspect their wives were sisters, but don't know for certain.

Bondsman at James' wedding was Thomas Brooks. That may have been Parker's brother or father.
