I'm pretty sure James H was his son. They are next to each other on the 1850 census.
On the 1830 census for Allen Co there are 3 Long families: my Benjamin, this William, and Britton. On the
1840 there are 4: Ben and William, my Nelson, and James H. James is 20-30. Ben did not have a son
that age, but William and Britton did. William's son is not with him on the 1840 census. I can't find
Britton, so I'm not sure if his son was still at home.
