One descendant says:
"Her ancestors came over on the Mayflower and we have a list of names with Bowman on it to verify."

Unfortunately, according to a Mayflower website, there were no Bowmans on the Mayflower.

From another source: there was a Mrs George Augustus Bowman who was somehow related to William Brewster, one of the Pilgrims.

She could be from the Mayflower on her mother's side. Mary Jones was born on Long Island NY, and her parents were from CT. Could one of Mary's parents be the link?
