I have a picture of this family. Write me for a copy.

--
married in Sumner Co TN
both buried in Cedar Grove cemetery, Robertson Co TN

He was a farmer.

--
He served in the Civil War (Confederate), 7th TN Cavalry.
He enlisted 1861-10-19. While transporting a sick soldier home, his horse fell on him, fracturing his hips and breaking his pelvic bone. He was on crutches for three months, and refused a discharge.
He was left in TN on 1862-02-17 on a retreat from Bowling Green since he was unable to ride, and marked as deserted.
As soon as he was able, he re-enlisted in Co E, 9th TN Cavalry.

Tennessee, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1779-2008

Being in my right mind and in the full possession of mind and understanding,
I herein will and bequeath to my two sons, E M Riggsbee and G V Riggsbee all of
the property both real and personal which I may die possessed, to take possession
of same at the death of my wife.

The consideration for this is that E M Riggsbee has agreed to feed and take
care of me and his mother till our death and to bury us decently and to put a tomb-
stone to the graves of Charlie and Donald not to cost more that twenty-five dollars
each, also a tombstone to each of our graves both me and my wife, not to exceed
twenty-five dollars each, also that G V Riggsbee shall have a horse and saddle
at 21 years old provided he remains and works till he is that age.

Witness my hand and seal this 17th day of March 1915.

Codicil to the above will

I herein and herewith appoint Mrs Annie Appling executrix of this my last will.
