I found another reference that had a different set of children for him. The children I have listed are from a GEDCOM files sent to me by one of James Robert's descendants, so I think I trust it more than the first source.

another researcher sends:
Over a period of 33 years the Hinds Valley Church (Primitive Baptist) South of Rockwood traveled for 4-5 hours by horse to the vicinity of Oakdale even in the middle of winter so the Church could :"set in Morgan Co." Tn. located Crab Orchard creek. They sometimes stayed overnight on Saturday night at friends or fellow parishoners of the church and then attended Baptism and services the following day Sunday and then made the trek back home. Hinds members of the church: James R., Rebecca Jo, Nancy, John, Joseph, and Sarah Hinds Hickey and possibly others.
